Synopsis
The focus of the story is Madea's family, of course. This time her loving nephew Sunny, his mean wife Vanessa and baby are living in Madea's house. Sunny works at the local prison and has a part-time job to support his family while his wife attends school for her master's degree. Vanessa is only interested in her needs and desires. Sunny, unaware of where Madea spent the night, goes to work and finds Madea in jail with some real convicts. Imagine that….yet steel bars and hardened criminals can't break Madea's brashness!Madea's best girlfriend, Ella and Sunny hustle up the money to get her out. Not only does Madea get out of jail but she comes home with temporary custody of Toni, a 16-year old sassy child whose mother, Katie is doing jail time. Is Madea now a role model? NOT. However, she does play the ma'dear role in pulling together all the fragment pieces in the lives of Ella, Toni and especially Sunny. Sunny has to deal with restructuring his life after his wife proves to be unworthy and his son a victim of irresponsibility and neglect.
